St. Peter's Parish Church |
 |
| |
| Enclosed on three sides by a deep meander of the River Brun, the ancient Parish Church of St. Peter, which was first mentioned in 1122, marks the original centre of the town when it was nothing more than a medieval village. The church holds occasional concerts and other performances and during the summer of 2003 a new heritage centre opened to the public. |

1) 2003 marked the 200th anniversary of the installation of the bells, which are thought to be amongst the best in the country. So why not come along and listen!
2) If you are a competent organist, the church has a completely rebuilt William Hill organ, which is available for use by appointment.
3) Keep an eye out for the Saturday morning concerts. There are several held every year and include some of the best organists and piano players in the country. Starting time is usually 11:00am with light refreshments provided.
