Lorna: I'm in a bit of a mess at the moment. I've lost nearly all my confidence and life's treating me bad! My mum and step-dad are splitting up, my real dad has died. My mum's salon has flooded so when the breakup finally happens, we won't have much money. Also people keep knocking my confidence by calling me fat and things and yeah that's true but you know it really puts me down. Also, if he's angry, my step dad always takes his anger out on me. Not by hitting me (although he used to) but by shouting at me and calling me names. Please reply!! x Mel Says: Hi Lorna, thank you for your email, it looks like you are having a very difficult time at the moment but things only get better once we take control of our life. Has your mum got insurance at her salon? If she has then she may be able to claim from it. If money is going to be tight, how can you help? These are hard times but with lots of confidence and motivation you will get your life back on track. Believe in yourself.. Kel Says: Hi Hun, you are beautiful and you should not let any man whether he is a father, boy friend etc put you down. You are special and deserve better. If your mum is splitting up with your step dad then he will no longer be a problem in your life. Your mum WILL need you to be strong and help her. People can only hurt you if you let them and it is about time Lorna became number 1 again. Amanda G: I really need help. Well basically i kinda cheated on my mate. well theres my ex and my best mate. my mate and ex like each otha. i was settin them up. then i done a really bad thing and was flirtin wit my ex and tellin him things i shouldnt have. now hes not talkin 2 me and tellin every1 and i think my best mate knows. i would hate 2 lose her and my life is in ruins as it is. i need help on the situation. i was wrong i kno but i need 2 sort it out b4 it gets out of hand. plz Mel Says: Hi Amanda, Best mates and guys that should be respected even if they are your exes. If you are feeling upset its probably guilt, If you are over with him let yout friend have him and be both their friends. Youll meet someone better and be happy that you made everything right. Kel Says: Girl, it seems like things are about to get nasty. You need to decide on your course of action. whatever YOU decide will lead to anarchy or peace - make your decision. If she's your best mate, she should know that you had feelings for him in the past and maybe will accept that you still have feelings for him. My gut feeling - Girl, is he that special to lost your best friend over? Little Hunny: im jst writting to ask if u culd help me figure out what to do. there is a guy i know which i also really really like. i don't get to see him much and when i do there is some define flirting from both of us. nothing has happened between us even though he knows how much i like him and he has given me the signals that he likes me too. when it comes down to it im not getting very far with him at all so i was hoping you would be able to give me some advice and tips about how to find out how he feels toward me and advice about the best way to go about things. i do realise that there is a chance that he is just a flirt and is not interested in me so i think i need to get this clear in my head. i would really apreciate this advice from you both xXx Mel Says: Hi Little Hunny, If you make the decision for him he may get scared and not be your friend so take it easy and be friendly back if he doesn't make a move then I would find someone that will and just stay friends with him. Kel Says: If he wants more than a friendship with you he will let you know directly. Trust me. If he just wants to be your friend then he will just be your friend and thats how he will act. If you feel he's playing mind games with you, play some back with him! Give him some strong signals, then back off for a while (but watch very carefully his next moves) before you get it clear in your head what to do next.
